When an untyped operand of a (typically binary) operation does not
match the type of the operand and an implicit conversion is not
possible, the error message should report a "type mismatch".
The type-checkers mostly did so, but not for untyped numeric types
to other types (e.g. an untyped int vs a function); in those cases
it reported that the (impossible) conversion failed.
Fix this for numeric types.
This also improves the position and messages for some incorrect
min/max built-in calls.

This ports the fix in CL 328050 for typecheck to types2.
The fix is not identical, due to code structure differences between
typecheck and types2, but the idea is the same. We only do the untyped
conversion when both operands can be mixed.

For typed vs un-typed operation, the compiler do the conversion
un-conditionally, so if the operation is invalid, the error report is
pointed to the conversion, instead of the invalid operation itself.
To fix this, only do the conversion when the operations are valid
for both types.
