d532d5f0fa cmd/link: also apply R_ADDR relocation statically when internal linking PIE
When internal linking PIE, R_ADDR relocations cannot be resolved
statically so we generate dynamic relocations for it. We don't
apply the relocations statically, so the bytes in the file are
left unset (likely zero). This makes some tool that examines the
file statically, e.g. go version, to fail to find the referenced
addresses.

This CL makes the linker also apply the relocations to the file
content, so it holds the correct offsets and so can be examined
statically.

Fixes #37173.

baea3cd7c9 cmd/link: handle absolute address relocation in C objects for internal linking PIE
For an absolute address relocation in C objects (e.g.
R_X86_64_64), we turn it into an R_ADDR relocation and handle it
the same way. For internal linking PIE, this R_ADDR relocation
cannot be resolved statically. We need to generate a dynamic
relocation for it. This CL makes it so.

This fixes internal linking PIE on the dev.boringcrypto branch.
Test will be enabled in the next CL.

675a2e7078 cmd/link: generate relative relocs for PIE
Go's PIE binaries have tons of relocations, all R_X86_64_64 [1] when
internally linked. R_X86_64_64 relocations require symbol lookup in the
dynamic linker, which can be quite slow. The simple Go HTTP server
in #36028 takes over 1s to complete dynamic linking!

The external linker generates R_X86_64_RELATIVE [2] relocations, which
are significantly more efficient. It turns out that generating these
relocations internally is quite simple, so lets do it.

Rather than referencing targ.Dynid in r_info and having the dynamic
linker do a symbol lookup and then add (final targ address) + r.Add, use
AddAddrPlus to generate another R_ADDR to have the linker compute (targ
address + r.Add). The dynamic linker is then only left with base address
+ r_addend.

Since we don't reference the symbol in the final relocation, Adddynsym
is no longer necessary, saving ~1MB (of ~9MB) from the binary size of
the example in #36028.

[1] R_AARCH64_ABS64 on arm64.
[2] R_AARCH64_RELATIVE on arm64.

d2765de863 cmd/link: support PIE mode with internal link on linux arm64
This CL improves internal link to provide basic support for cgo and PIE:
1, add support for GOT, PLT and GOTPLT.
2, add support for following ELF relocation types which have been used by std
   packages:
     R_AARCH64_ADR_GOT_PAGE
     R_AARCH64_LD64_GOT_LO12_NC
     R_AARCH64_ADR_PREL_PG_HI21
     R_AARCH64_ADD_ABS_LO12_NC
     R_AARCH64_LDST8_ABS_LO12_NC
     R_AARCH64_LDST32_ABS_LO12_NC
     R_AARCH64_LDST64_ABS_LO12_NC
     R_AARCH64_JUMP26
     R_AARCH64_ABS64
     R_AARCH64_PREL32
     R_AARCH64_PREL64

With this change, Go toolchain can be built in internal linking mode, and
pure Go programs can be built with PIE mode in internal linking mode on arm64.

b2f94d3e88 cmd/link: mmap output file
Use mmap for writing most of the output file content,
specifically, the sections and segments. After layout, we
already know the sizes and file offsets for the sections and
segments. So we can just write the bytes by copying to a mmap'd
backing store.

The writing of the output file is split into two parts. The first
part writes the sections and segments to the mmap'd region. The
second part writes some extra content, for which we don't know
the size, so we use direct file IO.

This is in preparation for mmap'ing input files read-only.

14560da7e4 cmd/link: start file-local symbols at version 10
We're going to use the linker's symbol versions to track ABIs.
Currently, version 0 is used for global symbols and version > 0 is
used for file-local symbols. This CL reserves versions 0 to 9 for
global symbols with ABIs and uses version 10 and up for file-local
symbols. To make this clean, it also introduces a method on Symbol for
querying whether it's file-local.

328adf9d62 cmd/link: fewer allocs in ld.Arch.Archreloc
Archreloc had this signature:

	func(*Link, *sym.Reloc, *sym.Symbol, *int64) bool

The last *int64 argument is used as out parameter.
Passed valus could be allocated on stack, but escape analysis
fails here, leading to high number of unwanted allocs.

If instead 4th arg is passed by value, and modified values is returned,
no problems with allocations arise:

	func(*Link, *sym.Reloc, *sym.Symbol, int64) (int64, bool)

There are 2 benefits:
1. code becomes more readable.
2. less allocations.

For linking "hello world" example from net/http:

name old time/op new time/op delta
	Linker-4 530ms ± 2% 520ms ± 2% -1.83% (p=0.001 n=17+16)

It's top 1 in alloc_objects from memprofile:

	flat flat% sum% cum cum%
	229379 33.05% 33.05% 229379 33.05% cmd/link/internal/ld.relocsym
	...

list relocsym:

	229379 229379 (flat, cum) 33.05% of Total
	229379 229379 183: var o int64

After the patch, ~230k of int64 allocs (~ 1.75mb) removed.

Passes toolshash-check (toolstash cmp).

be2ee2a4b4 cmd/internal/objabi, cmd/link: move linker-only symkind values into linker
Many (most!) of the values of objapi.SymKind are used only in the linker, so
this creates a separate cmd/link/internal/ld.SymKind type, removes most values
from SymKind and maps one to the other when reading object files in the linker.

Two of the remaining objapi.SymKind values are only checked for, never set and
so will never be actually found but I wanted to keep this to the most
mechanical change possible.

1e3570ac86 cmd/internal/objabi: extract shared functionality from obj
Now only cmd/asm and cmd/compile depend on cmd/internal/obj. Changing
the assembler backends no longer requires reinstalling cmd/link or
cmd/addr2line.

There's also now one canonical definition of the object file format in
cmd/internal/objabi/doc.go, with a warning to update all three
implementations.

objabi is still something of a grab bag of unrelated code (e.g., flag
and environment variable handling probably belong in a separate "tool"
package), but this is still progress.

Fixes #15165.
Fixes #20026.

All transformations done manually, as wiring Cursym is tricky.

7c04633e0c all: fix obsolete inferno-os links
Fixes #16911.

Fix obsolete inferno-os links, since code.google.com shutdown.
This CL points to the right files by replacing
http://code.google.com/p/inferno-os/source/browse
with
https://bitbucket.org/inferno-os/inferno-os/src/default

To implement the change I wrote and ran this script in the root:
$ grep -Rn 'http://code.google.com/p/inferno-os/source/browse' * \
| cut -d":" -f1 | while read F;do perl -pi -e \
's/http:\/\/code.google.com\/p\/inferno-os\/source\/browse/https:\/\/bitbucket.org\/inferno-os\/inferno-os\/src\/default/g'
$F;done

I excluded any cmd/vendor changes from the commit.

3167ff7ca9 cmd/internal/*: only call ctx.Bso.Flush when something has been written
In many places where ctx.Bso.Flush is used as the target for some debug
logging, ctx.Bso.Flush is called unconditionally. In the majority of
cases where debug logging is not enabled, this means Flush is called
many times when there is nothing to be flushed (it will be called anyway
when ctx.Bso is eventually closed), sometimes in a loop.

Avoid this by moving the ctx.Bso.Flush call into the same condition
block as the debug print. This pattern was previously applied
sporadically.

0a15d95091 cmd/link: use standard library flag package where possible
The obj library's flag functions are (mostly) light wrappers
around the standard library flag package. Use the flag package
directly where possible.

Most uses of the 'count'-type flags (except for -v) only check
against 0, so they can safely be replaced by bools. Only -v
and the flagfns haven't been replaced.

Debug has been turned into a slice of bools rather than ints.
There was a copy of the -v verbosity in ctxt.Debugvlog, so don't use
Debug['v'] and just use ctxt.Debugvlog.
