acb4d1cef1 [dev.regabi] cmd/compile: use Node getters and setters [generated]
Now that we have all the getters and setters defined, use them
and unexport all the actual Node fields. This is the next step
toward replacing Node with an interface.

84e2bd611f [dev.regabi] cmd/compile: introduce cmd/compile/internal/ir [generated]
If we want to break up package gc at all, we will need to move
the compiler IR it defines into a separate package that can be
imported by packages that gc itself imports. This CL does that.
It also removes the TINT8 etc aliases so that all code is clear
about which package things are coming from.

This CL is automatically generated by the script below.
See the comments in the script for details about the changes.

26b66fd60b [dev.regabi] cmd/compile: introduce cmd/compile/internal/base [generated]
Move Flag, Debug, Ctxt, Exit, and error messages to
new package cmd/compile/internal/base.

These are the core functionality that everything in gc uses
and which otherwise prevent splitting any other code
out of gc into different packages.

A minor milestone: the compiler source code
no longer contains the string "yy".

d949d0b925 cmd/compile: reorganize init functions
Instead of writing an init function per package that does the same
thing for every package, just write that implementation once in the
runtime. Change the compiler to generate a data structure that encodes
the required initialization operations.

Reduces cmd/go binary size by 0.3%+. Most of the init code is gone,
including all the corresponding stack map info. The .inittask
structures that replace them are quite a bit smaller.

Most usefully to me, there is no longer an init function in every -S output.
(There is an .inittask global there, but it's much less distracting.)

After this CL we could change the name of the "init.ializers" function
back to just "init".

c0cfe9687f cmd/compile: rewrite f(g()) for multi-value g() during typecheck
This is a re-attempt at CL 153841, which caused two regressions:

1. crypto/ecdsa failed to build with -gcflags=-l=4. This was because
when "t1, t2, ... := g(); f(t1, t2, ...)" was exported, we were losing
the first assignment from the call's Ninit field.

2. net/http/pprof failed to run with -gcflags=-N. This is due to a
conflict with CL 159717: as of that CL, package-scope initialization
statements are executed within the "init.ializer" function, rather
than the "init" function, and the generated temp variables need to be
moved accordingly too.

[Rest of description is as before.]

This CL moves order.go's copyRet logic for rewriting f(g()) into t1,
t2, ... := g(); f(t1, t2, ...) earlier into typecheck. This allows the
rest of the compiler to stop worrying about multi-value functions
appearing outside of OAS2FUNC nodes.

This changes compiler behavior in a few observable ways:

1. Typechecking error messages for builtin functions now use general
case error messages rather than unnecessarily differing ones.

2. Because f(g()) is rewritten before inlining, saved inline bodies
now see the rewritten form too. This could be addressed, but doesn't
seem worthwhile.

3. Most notably, this simplifies escape analysis and fixes a memory
corruption issue in esc.go. See #29197 for details.

While at it, camelCase the isliteral and iszero function names. Don't
move these to methods, as they are only used in the backend part of gc,
which might one day be split into a separate package.

d1b544c7eb cmd/compile: avoid giant init functions due to many user inits
We generate code that calls each user init function one at a time.
When there are lots of user init functions,
usually due to generated code, like test/rotate* or
github.com/juju/govmomi/vim25/types,
we can end up with a giant function,
which can be slow to compile.

This CL puts in an escape valve.
When there are more than 500 functions, instead of doing:

init.0()
init.1()
// ...

we construct a static array of functions:

var fns = [...]func(){init.0, init.1, ... }

and call them in a loop.

This generates marginally bigger, marginally worse code,
so we restrict it to cases in which it might start to matter.

500 was selected as a mostly arbitrary threshold for "lots".
Each call uses two Progs, one for PCDATA and one for the call,
so at 500 calls we use ~1000 Progs.
At concurrency==8, we get a Prog cache of about
1000 Progs per worker.
So a threshold of 500 should more or less avoid
exhausting the Prog cache in most cases.

4808fc4443 [dev.inline] cmd/internal/src: replace src.Pos with syntax.Pos
This replaces the src.Pos LineHist-based position tracking with
the syntax.Pos implementation and updates all uses.

The LineHist table is not used anymore - the respective code is still
there but should be removed eventually. CL forthcoming.

Passes toolstash -cmp when comparing to the master repo (with the
exception of a couple of swapped assembly instructions, likely due
to different instruction scheduling because the line-based sorting
has changed; though this is won't affect correctness).

The sizes of various important compiler data structures have increased
significantly (see the various sizes_test.go files); this is probably
the reason for an increase of compilation times (to be addressed). Here
are the results of compilebench -count 5, run on a "quiet" machine (no
apps running besides a terminal):

34699bc7a8 cmd/compile: reduce use of **Node parameters
Escape analysis has a hard time with tree-like
structures (see #13493 and #14858).
This is unlikely to change.
As a result, when invoking a function that accepts
a **Node parameter, we usually allocate a *Node
on the heap. This happens a whole lot.

This CL changes functions from taking a **Node
to acting more like append: It both modifies
the input and returns a replacement for it.

Because of the cascading nature of escape analysis,
in order to get the benefits, I had to modify
almost all such functions. The remaining functions
are in racewalk and the backend. I would be happy
to update them as well in a separate CL.

This CL was created by manually updating the
function signatures and the directly impacted
bits of code. The callsites were then automatically
updated using a bespoke script:
https://gist.github.com/josharian/046b1be7aceae244de39

For ease of reviewing and future understanding,
this CL is also broken down into four CLs,
mailed separately, which show the manual
and the automated changes separately.
They are CLs 20990, 20991, 20992, and 20993.

Passes toolstash -cmp.
